What we do after Saturday

Is come home, with pockets full of lemons
as if we could squeeze out the sunset,
black curls against our cheeks. I
do a load of wash, and red flower petals tumble out,
small stones, and sea glass - this
will be what saves us*.

Thanks! I do enjoy e.e. cummings, particularly in this poem the stone "as small as a world and as large as alone".

Mine doesn't feel quite right to me yet - maybe I will fiddle with it more later. Maybe I was just asking it to do too much...
